Who we are
Munshi is a WhatsApp assistant that helps small businesses in India take orders, bookings and payments and keep their accounts. It is run by Munshi (proprietor: Bhuvan Arora, Udyam UDYAM-RJ-01-0177379), The Merwara Palace, Bhag Chand Ki Kothi, Subhash Udyaan, Daulat Bagh, Ajmer, Rajasthan 305001. What we collect
- Your WhatsApp number and the name you give us.
- What you send Munshi: messages, voice notes, and photos (sellers' product photos).
- Business details sellers give: products, prices, hours, UPI ID, accounts (hisaab, udhaar).
- Orders and bookings: items, totals, time, delivery address, payment status.
Why
Only to run the service you asked for: understand your messages, take and track orders, show the shop page, send updates and reminders about your orders, and keep the seller's accounts. We don't sell your data and don't show ads.
Who processes it
- Meta (WhatsApp) carries the messages.
- AI model providers (through OpenRouter) read messages and voice notes to understand and reply. They process the text for that purpose only.
- Cashfree Payments (RBI-licensed) processes online payments and pays sellers their share; sellers who turn on online payments give their PAN and bank or UPI details directly to Cashfree.
- Our hosting provider stores the data.
UPI payments made to a seller's own UPI ID go straight to the seller's bank. Munshi never holds sellers' money and never sees card or full bank account details.
What other people see
Customers see only a shop's public details (products, prices, hours, area). Sellers see the orders, names and messages of their own customers. A seller's costs and profits are never shown to customers.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it or stop using Munshi. Sellers' order and account records are kept for the seller's bookkeeping.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask what we hold, have it corrected, or have it erased. To erase your data, send /delete to Munshi on WhatsApp (sellers confirm with /delete pakka). A customer's chats, questions, name and address are erased; the seller keeps the basic order record for their accounts. For anything else, contact bhuvanaro123@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes and important changes are announced on WhatsApp.
